Fun Facts: The Singaporean Peranakan House

Thought I'd post today about something I made a few months ago, and that I'm particularly proud of. My Singaporean Things sticker set, with12 stickers that highlight some of the more popular things in Singapore, including those iconic Peranakan Houses.

We've got them in the old Straits cities—Singapore, Penang, and Malacca (the latter two in Malaysia) that were main ports for the British in colonial times.

Did you ever notice how they stand out with their colourful facades? They're not just pretty faces; they're like little time capsules, holding onto Singapore's cultural heritage.

Even more interesting, just like products of any older culture, they're filled with all sorts of hidden meanings. You've got 'phoenixes' and 'dragons' decorating the walls, symbolising prosperity and protection. And the colours? Well, they're not afraid to be bold and vibrant.

Now, back to the stickers. When you stick one on your laptop or water bottle, it could just be like bringing a piece of Singapore with you wherever you go. Pretty cool, I hope!

Anyway, if you're into adding a bit of local flavour to your stuff, you can grab the sticker set right in my Etsy shop.

Thanks for reading!
